Sargent takes big haul in win for Old Down
Sargent's incredible haul came from three overs, two of which were maidens, as Winterbourne were all out for 73.
Old Down then reached 76-0 in reply, with Mark Williams on 44 not out and Archie Stenning finishing unbeaten on 22.
Also in Section A, Coalpit Heath's J Reed took 4-2 as his side restricted Rockhampton to 53 all out, having earlier hit 126-5.
In Section B, Jack Gillett's 41 not out proved in vain as Thornbury Blue fell 16 runs short of Frenchay Red's 115-7, which was underpinned by Raj Chudasama's 37.
Matt Scott's 57 helped Lansdown to a 15-run win over Bitton in Section D, while Duval Pierre hit 78 as Bristol West Indians trounced Frenchay Green by 55 runs.
Fergus Bowen's 53 not out was not enough for Stapleton, who suffered a six-wicket defeat at the hands of Whitchurch A in Section F.
Frenchay Blue breezed past Thornbury in the South Gloucestershire Group final of the MCC's Spirit of Cricket Under-13 National Cup.
Having restricted Thornbury to 88-8, Jordan Ricketts (30 retired not out) and Elliott Gibbons (31 retired not out) helped steer Frenchay Blue to a nine-wicket victory.
In the third round of the Frank Benner Under-13 Knockout Cup, Downend – for whom Nathan Reynolds hit 39 – claimed a seven-wicket victory over Bristol Phoenix, despite the efforts of Phoenix's Emily Waldron (42) and Laura Marshall's (40).
M Griffiths of Old Bristolians/Westbury took 5-9 – including a hat-trick – from his three overs as his side trounced Nailsea by 96 runs in Section E of the Under-11 League.
In Section A, Chipping Sodbury A compiled a massive 166-2, with Ben Makepeace and Matt Harraway retiring not out on 26 and 28, respectively. Winterbourne B managed just 61-5 in reply.
Jordan Jones' 2-7 from two overs proved crucial as Frenchay beat Hambrook by nine runs in Section B, while Bradley Harlidge's 27 not out helped Hanham to a 46-run win over Bristol Pakistanis.
Bristol West Indians were 50-run victors over Bristol Pakistanis, with Duval Pierre (25 retired not out) again starring with the bat.
Pierre's score was matched identically by Jamal Douglas, who also retired not out on 25.
Pierre was in fine form in the Dave McCarthy Under-11 Knockout Cup, too, scoring 34 as his side posted 113 all out against Gordano Downs B, before taking 3-16 as his side won by eight runs. Jacob Burgess also bowled tightly, taking 3-11 from his four overs.
Nailsea's Connor Sheehan shone in the same competition, taking 3-19 as his side beat Whitchurch by 65 runs.
There were some huge individual batting scores in the second round of the Urban Windows Under-15 Knockout Cup.
Brislington's Russell Simmons hit 102 – and team-mate Will Ollis scored 78 – as they eased past Shirehampton.
Elsewhere, Bishopston A's Joe Wenham scored an unbeaten 133 as his side posted 190-0 before reducing Portishead to 83-7, while G Williams of Old Down posted 80 not out in his side's 74-run win against Chipping Sodbury A.
Coalpit Heath A's Harry Cameron claimed 4-7 from four overs as his side beat Patchway by seven wickets in Section A of the Under-15 League.
Frampton Cotterell's Ben Forman was unlucky to finish on the losing side despite his 51 against Chipping Sodbury B.
Almondsbury's Angus Ritchie (2-5) was also denied victory despite a good individual performance, as his team lost by 37 runs against Rockhampton.
James Campbell's 42 not out helped Frenchay to a nine-wicket win over Winterbourne B in Section B.
Big scores from Lawrence Cook (66 not out) and Wenham (65) set Bishopston A up for a 32-run win against Stoke Bishop in Section D. Patel Adhil scored 62 in Stoke Bishop's reply.
In Section F, Hanham's Mike Barrett returned bowling figures of 4-9 from four overs as his side beat Whitchurch by five wickets.
Stapleton's Olly Sharp (54) reached his half-century off 25 balls as his side beat Lodway by seven wickets in the first round of the Don Brooks Under-17 Plate.
In the second round of the South West Glass Under-17 Knockout Cup, Nick Wake hit 97 not out and was ably assisted by Jack Townsend (60 not out) as Chipping Sodbury trounced Bristol by 93 runs.
In the Under-17 League, Ricky Hurkett took 4-26 for Thornbury Red as they beat Hawkesbury by 22 runs in Section A.
Downend's Alex Smith and Hambrook's Matthew Beauchamp both posted half-centuries as Hambrook edged a thriller by five runs in Section B.
In Section D, Laurie Collinson's 51 guided Bishopston to a seven-wicket win over Stapleton.
