Get ready for city's big ride
To help promote the five rides, ranging in distance from nine miles to 38 miles, and the fun day taking place all day in Millennium Square and the Lloyds Amphitheatre, staff from Bristol City Council got on their bikes.
New cyclist Cathy Morgan, strategic director (SD) health and social care; joined regular cyclists David Bishop, SD city development; Jon House, deputy chief executive; Graham Sims, SD neighbourhoods; Annie Hudson, SD children and young people's services; and Carew Reynell, SD resources, for a ride around College Green.
Online registration for Bristol's Biggest Bike Ride has now closed, but you can still register on the day in Millennium Square.
The free family event is run by Bristol City Council to celebrate the end of Bike Week.
All the rides start from Millennium Square and head towards a traffic-free Portway. All rides finish at the Harbourside.
Free security-patrolled cycle parking will be provided.
Even people who don't have access to a bicycle, or don't ride a bike, are invited to come along and join in the fun, too. There will be entertainment for all the family from 11.30am to 6pm with music, stalls, bike displays, demonstrations, cycling information and lots more.
