Which buildings should win Bristol Civic Society awards?
The awards celebrate the city's architectural diversity, although it's not just buildings that can be nominated.
Members of the public can nominate their favourite open spaces as well as new developments, renovated buildings, parks and even statues.
Last year, before the recession really began to bite, many buildings were either newly completed or renovated throughout the city.
There was the refurbishment of Broadmead, the opening of Cabot Circus and the ongoing revitalisation of the Dings area of St Philips.
Organiser Charles Fox of Dowry Road, Clifton, said: "These annual awards are one of the great positives of our society. It's our chance to be positive and reach out to the community.
"The awards are very much appreciated, not only by architects and developers, of course, but by the general public.
"People are very proud to get an award and have a good-looking plaque fixed to the wall.
"As you can see from last year's winners, they are not only of a very high standard but well spread across the city.
"As well as value to the community our judges, who include two architects, will be looking for quality of work, originality and innovation.
"Some nominations, such as parks, might be small, but effect the community in a big way."
Any development within Bristol's boundaries, which opened or were completed in 2008, are eligible. Last year's eight winners, which all got plaques, were the "green" Knowle West Media Centre which has solar panels and straw bales insulating the building, three townhouses in Alfred Street, Kingsdown, South Bristol Sports Centre in Brislington, the Symes Community Centre, a new building for Red Maids school in Westbury-on-Trym, UWE's Media Design Centre at Bower Ashton the Kingsweston Centre for children with autism in Shirehampton and the Bridge House apartments near the suspension bridge.
Mr Fox said: "All the buildings and places put forward will be judged by the society's panel."
The event is sponsored by Bristol Water. To make a nomination, fill in the form on the this page and send it to Charles Fox at 10 Dowry Road, BS8 4PR. The deadline is Saturday, June 6.
