Yate Royal British Legion remembers those who gave their lives

Thursday, October 29, 2009, 07:00

Members of the Royal British Legion will join civic leaders in Yate to remember those who died in the world wars and other conflicts.

The Remembrance Day ceremony on Sunday, November 8, is open to everyone in the town and will start with a parade to St Mary's Church.

Those taking part will leave Poole Court at 9.30am for the 10am service.

Wreaths will be laid at the church gate after the service at the Parnall memorial in the churchyard, which is dedicated to the memory of those who died in the bombing of the Parnall aircraft factory in 1941.
