Rudgeway boy has a part to play in awareness campaign
Noah Bright, was born with a chromosome missing and has impaired sight and hearing loss in both ears.
The youngster appears on the short film on the website for deafblind charity Sense.
Noah's mum Nicola said that shortly after he was born doctors noticed he had a heart murmur and following further tests and investigations they diagnosed hearing loss and sight impairment. The Rudgeway youngster also suffers delayed development.
Mrs Bright, 30, and her husband Chris, have learnt a form of sign language called Makaton to help them communicate with their son, which she said is starting to make things easier.
She said: "My husband and I communicate with Noah using Makaton which is a form of simple sign language – even Noah's grandparents are learning. It's going really well and now he can sign simple words like milk, fish and car."
Noah attends the Woodside Family Centre in Kingswood, which is run by Sense, once a week and was filmed using the facilities for the documentary.
