Let's home in on points, says Bristol Rovers boss Trollope
And the manager views Saturday's clash with Yeovil Town and next Tuesday's tussle with League One leaders Leeds United as a chance for his team to underline their play-off chasing credentials in front of their own supporters.
"It seems like a long time since we've had a home game," said Trollope.
"We have had a lot of away matches and now we are coming into a good run of home games against opposition from different parts of the table.
"It will be an interesting period – and one in which we think we can consolidate a place in the top six."
Yeovil will be looking to extend a five-game unbeaten run as Rovers attempt to bounce back after successive defeats to Norwich and Southend. "Yeovil had a very good, comprehensive win against Carlisle at the weekend and are on a good run so they will be confident and thinking they can come and get a result," said Trollope.
"It is another good test for us and a semi-local game, which adds a bit of spice to it.
"We are pleased to get back at home after two defeats on the road and will be looking to start the game a lot better than we have in the previous two, looking to win it and looking to build our home record."
It will be Yeovil's first meeting with Bristol Rovers since Terry Skiverton took over as manager at Huish Park, and Trollope praised the way the 34-year-old had adapted to the role.
"He took the job in almost bizarre circumstances when Russell Slade left and kept them afloat last season by getting the results to keep them in the division, although it was a close-run thing," said Trollope.
"The budget is tight there but he has used the loan market very well and added some good players – their results over the past month have shown that.
"He and his assistant (Nathan Jones) are both young but have coped very well."
Rovers hope to have a full squad to choose from with central defender Danny Coles back in training after being ruled out of the Southend defeat because of sickness.
