Ladies-only Bristol gym members strip off for charity
The staff and customers from ITS Leisure on Wood Road, Kingswood, decided to do the calendar to raise money for St Peter's Hospice, where former creche assistant Gill Worgan died earlier this year.
Gill often joked the staff should do a naked calendar, and when she passed away, her former colleagues knew what they were going to do to raise some money in her memory.
Gym owner Caroline Turner, 42, said that some women even had to be turned away from the photo shoot, such was the high esteem which Gill was held in by both staff and customers.
After a few glasses of wine and using a white towel to protect their modesty, the women stripped off and the tasteful black and white shoot began.
"We let it all hang out," Caroline laughed. "Because we work in a gym we're all quite fit here, so we didn't have to worry about breathing in or anything like that.
"We all had some wine to ease the tension and one of my members of staff Hannah did a streak through the studio, and that took the tension away."
Caroline is Miss February on the calendar, boxing with just boxing gloves and boxing boots on.
Other months have staff using bikes and other gym equipment, while for December, customers aged from 20 to 60 pose together in the studio wearing Santa hats.
"It's like one big family in here," Caroline said. "When we suggested the idea it was so popular that not everyone who wanted to could take part.
"But this is for Gill and she would have loved the fact that we have gone ahead and done a naked calendar. Now we just want to raise as much money as we can for St Peter's Hospice."
The calendar is available to buy for £5 from ITF Leisure, Wood Road, Kingswood. All proceeds from the sale of the calendars will go to St Peter's Hospice.
