Fishponds prostitute says punter raped her
An alleged rape victim told Bristol Crown Court she was working on Fishponds Road towards Heath Street around 1am, when a man she had done business with before asked her to go back to his house on Fishponds Road.
She said that, after a deal was struck for £20, he turned nasty on her, forced himself on her and took her jacket with the money in it when she left.
Kamal Ibrahim, 23, denies the rape, which is alleged to have occurred in November last year.
The woman told the court that the pair of them had started intercourse but then she became anxious.
She told the jury: "He started getting a bit heavy-handed.
"He had me round the neck and I was shouting at him to get off."
The woman, who said she had been a sex worker for seven years since the age of 15, told the court Ibrahim put all his weight on top of her and then forced sex on her without using a condom.
She said: "Afterwards, I was shouting at him, asking why did he do that?
"He let me get dressed and I went to grab my coat to go, and he grabbed me by my right wrist, hard.
"He said he wanted the money and picked up a glass and threw it at me.
"I got the glass and held it back against him.
"He picked up a cup and threw it at my face but I moved my head and it bounced off the wall."
The woman said that then, leaving her jacket behind, she ran out of the house, smashing the man's front door with her umbrella as she went before going outside and flagging down a passing police car.
The woman told the court that although she had been addicted to both heroin and crack cocaine, she was no longer addicted.
The case continues.
