Ex-GPO messengers should get in touch

Do any of your readers remember or worked as GPO messengers, particularly during the period 1957 to 1960, when the service was run very much like the Army and after a year delivering telegrams using pushbikes, one graduated to BSA 125 Bantam motorcycles.

I made some very good mates there but we lost touch when I left the post office in 1960, their names were Dave Barrow, Alan Elmes and John Clark. If any of you are still around, please email me so we can meet up somewhere.
