Businessman faces charge over shotgun

Weston businessman Cam Mu has appeared in court charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear or violence.

Mu, 37, of Brean Down Avenue, Weston-super-Mare, appeared before North Somerset Magistrates' Court yesterday.

Sue Thomas prosecuting said Mu was accused of possessing a shotgun at his home on November 5 with intent to cause debt collector Christopher Simcock violence.

He also faced a second charge of assault by beating Mr Simcock on November 5. Mu entered no plea to either charge and the case was committed to Bristol Crown Court for an appearance on November 27.

He was released on unconditional bail.
