The Evening Post hid 300 pairs of tickets to the exclusive event hosted by @Bristol with Aardman Animations in yesterday's paper.
One lucky winner, Vicky Jones, 38, of Clyde Road, Knowle, read about the giveaway last week and was determined to get hold of a pair of "tickets to the moon".
She said: "I buy the Post every day. Last week I read they were putting tickets in so it was in my mind to get a copy.
"I wondered if I would be one of the lucky ones. I love Wallace and Gromit, they appeal to such a wide audience.
"I love all the films but The Wrong Trousers still gets the top spot for me."
Housewife Mrs Jones will take her 11-year-old son Alexander to the all-day event on November 14, which will see guest appearances from Wallace and Gromit, workshops led by Aardman animators and much more.
Mrs Jones said: "Alexander's a big fan, we all are. I didn't mention it to him last week in case I didn't get a ticket. He loves Lego and building things."
Mrs Jones said she was looking forward to the event.
She said: "I don't know who will be going to it or whether Nick Park will be there. I hope so. It would be nice to see some of the other team as well.
"So many people in Bristol feel they are a little part of Wallace and Gromit.
"It's nice to think we've got the chance to go to something like this."
