Bristol mum's naked ambition to find cure for daughter's life-threatening disease
It was discovered that Amanda Carter's daughter Abigail had cystic fibrosis (CF) when she was eight weeks old.
The 40-year-old mum hopes that raising money through a naked calendar will help fund research that will prolong the seven-year-old's life.
Ms Carter, of Blue Falcon Road, was joined by 13 other mums from across the country who decided to take up the challenge for their children.
CF is an inherited disease that clogs up internal organs – particularly the lungs and digestive system – with thick, sticky mucus, making it hard to breathe or digest food.
More than 8,000 people are affected by CF in the UK.
Ms Carter, a customer advisor with Barclays Bank, said: "When Abigail was diagnosed I felt pretty hopeless. I had a perfect baby but was told she had a life-shortening disease.
"I threw my life into caring for her and keeping her well.
"But we also have to think about her future and that means helping to raise money."
The naked calendar is being kept under wraps until the women find printers and someone to fund the printing.
