Tonight's GOTD came courtesy of the grading game between sporting yoyo and Jamie ray FC. The Jamie Ray side team were brand new to the centre and were up here to play their first game, the grading process works by depending on the score depends on what league the team grading will go into, therefore it was very important for both teams tonight to really give it their all and push for a victory in order for us to put them into a league that is at their standard.

The game started and straight away you could see who the new boys were, as they allowed the other team to pass the ball around freely, this eventually cost them as they conceded early, after a good bit of passing resulted in a simple tap in for the yoyo team. The new boys naivety did however end up go, and they did play some pretty entertaining football, they levelled the scoring after 10 minutes with a fantastic bit of strength holding off 2 yoyo players before the player smashed the ball into the goal from close range. The yoyo side did respond though, some good play ending up with a good one on one finish in front of goal. However this lead was once again short lived as just before the stroke of half time the new boys scored again, a simple tap in under no pressure brought them level, making the score 2-2 at half time.

Unfortunately for the new boys the second half didn't exactly start according to plan for them as they conceded straight from kick off, a couple of passes from the boys lead to a simple tap in by the yoyo side. They did respond though, a great bit of play by their team lead to a simple tap in after the goal keeper had already dived to the floor. Unfortunately for the new boys they did get undone not once, but twice by one of the sporting players. The first time the lad managed to hit an unbelievably good strike at goal, in which rocketed past everyone and into the top corner of the goal from distance. The lad then played a fantastic reverse pass into his team mate to catch his opponents of guard, setting up his team mate with a shot at goal, in which he buried from a tough angle. The new boys did though grab the final goal of the game; this was via some great feet by the player, before he smashed the ball home from close range. 6-4 the final score to the yoyo side.
