Wilts Border club's Autumn Cup trial looks easy for Craig Talbot

Friday, October 30, 2009, 07:00

The Wilts Border club's Autumn Cup trial at Draycot, near Sutton Benger, will seem like child's play to Craig Talbot after last weekend's National Scott timed and observation trial on the North Yorkshire moors.

eavy rain hit the 80-mile battle against the clock, causing horrendous conditions.

Talbot made good progress until his tyre came off the rim and, unable to fix it himself, he got to a garage, but by the time he had reached the 63rd section, the course had been closed.

Mark and Scott Cameron also took part in what is known as Britain's toughest event.

Sunday's fixture, in woodland, is a further round of the Wessex Centre Championship and is expected to attract Colin Crease, Lee Hassall, Ian Fortune, Rob Scott and Martyn Wilmore.

Peter King and Paul Manning are expected to clash in the BSSA's hour-long timed and observation trial in Filers Woods, Backwell Hill near Lulsgate, the same day.

Jon Tuck and Matt Sparks will be out to celebrate their third British Sidecar trials title by winning the final round of the current series in Derbyshire.
