Sparks and Tuck end the trial season on real high
After two laps of 20 sections, they finished 24 marks up on Robin and Gillian Morewood.
Tuck's brothers – Dave, partnered by Steve Chandler, and Roger, who was the crewman for Phil Sparks – finished in joint second place.
Colin Crease won the Wilts Border Club Autumn Cup Trial in Draycott Woods, near Sutton Benger, without dropping a mark.
Peter King defeated Wessex Centre Timed and Observation Trial champion Shane Lovatt in the BSSA's hour-long event in Filers Woods, near Lulsgate.
King was the first of 36 starters to complete the 11-lap event, and he was also best on observation, losing only 15 marks.
Ian Fortune won the Bath Club Peace Trophy event at Bannerdown on Saturday afternoon, in which the organisers had difficulty in mustering sufficient personnel to man the 10 sections that were lapped four times.
South West area champion Ricky Wiggins continued his winning ways in the Yeo Vale club event at Hinton St George, near Crewkerne.
In four laps of 10 sections, he lost half his total of 14 in the sixth section, plus three in the fourth and four single mark debits elsewhere.
