All I want for Christmas is a card designed by a Bristol artist

Christmas cards designed by some of Bristol's best artists are going on sale from next month to raise money for a city charity.

The launch night of 'All I Want for Christmas Cards' 2009 takes place on Thursday, November 12 at the Arnolfini. The new festive project is in support of the charity Young Bristol.

25 local artists and illustrators' have designed the cards, including Inkie, Peskimo, Ben Newman, Rich T and China Mike.

Many of the artists themselves will be in attendance at the launch night so guests can have the chance to meet and chat to them about their work, involvement in the project and to buy limited edition, one-off artworks from the artists during the evening's auction.

Prices for the original limited edition artworks will start from £30 and a single, signed, bound edition of all the artworks will also be available to the highest bid on the night.

The evening provides an opportunity to support the project and charity and will include a launch and first look at the limited edition Christmas card packs at 6pm with refreshments, followed by a live auction of the original art works at around 7pm.
