Team Bath Pair out of Kent trip

Friday, November 14, 2008, 22:08

Team Bath will be without midfielders Steve Abbott and Dan Dillon for today's game at home to Bromley.

Both have knee problems suffered in the 1-0 FA Cup defeat to Forest Green.

On-loan Reading goalkeeper Alex McCarthy is set to play his final game, as Darren Chitty and Jake Meredith are both close to fitness.

Team Bath (from): McCarthy, Locke, Warren, Lamb, El Abd, Caton, Bell, Cooper, Thomson, Perrott, Ake, Canham, Smith, Llewellyn, Benison, Hobbs, Thorne, Arnold, Hines.

Bath City travel to Blue Square South leaders Chelmsford City without several injured midfielders.

Lewis Hogg has an ankle problem and Adam Connolly has a groin injury. Scott Rogers remains 10 days away from being in contention.

However, centre-half Chris Holland has recovered from flu and winger Richard Evans is back in training, along with Ali Gibb.

Bath City (from): P Evans, G Jones, Coupe, Holland, Rollo, Slocombe, Simpson, Hogg, Connolly, R Evans, Gilroy, Douglas, Edwards, Paul, S Jones, Caldwell.

Weston-super-Mare have assistant manager Andy Gurney available again after suspension as they travel to bottom-of-the-table Bognor Regis.

Gurney was thought to have been banned for four matches but is available after missing two games.

Seagulls' skipper Charlie Comyn-Platt is a doubt with an ankle injury, so Gurney could replace him.

Weston are waiting to study the referee's report from Tuesday's game at Basingstoke when Cedric Abrahams was sent off late in the game. Weston claim Abrahams and another Weston player were attacked by a spectator off the field of play after the ball went out for a throw-in.

Meanwhile, Weston's home game against Brislington in the second round of the Somerset Premier Cup has been moved from Monday to Tuesday due to a clash with Weston carnival.

Weston-super-Mare (away to Bognor Regis) from: Northmore, Geeen, Willshire, Abraham, Quistin, Mullins, Comym-Platt, Gurney, Wells, McKeever, Havard, McGregor, Holgate, Brown, Grubb, Palmer, Paddock.

Weymouth caretaker boss Alan Lewer faces a stiff task in his first game in charge as the Terras take on Wrexham at the Wessex Stadium.

Lewer has stepped in after John Hollins was suspended pending an investigation into a possible breach of contract.

Wrexham have achieved five wins, a draw and a defeat since Dean Saunders took over as manager.

Weymouth will come up against Jefferson Louis who, after being top scorer for the Terras last year, is now the Welsh club's leading marksman.

Pierre Joseph Dubois (illness), Sam Cutler (illness) and Santos Gaia (ankle) could all be available for Weymouth after missing the 1-0 defeat at Rushden & Diamonds last Saturday.

Meanwhile, Crawley Town have pulled out of a deal to sign Weymouth forward Stuart Beavon.

Weymouth (from): Knowles, Mawer, Doe, Bygrave, Gaia, Reed, Robinson, Williams, Webb, McPhee, Cutler, Dubois, Barnard, Coutts, Vincent, Tribe, Beavon.
