"It was a disappointing performance," said Bater.
"At present we are a 45-minute side. We are in the position we are in because we are not playing well enough for 90 minutes."
The game came to life in the 26th minute when Uxbridge took the lead.
Kevin Warner charged down a defensive clearance to beat goalkeeper Tony Court with a long-range screamer, which went in off the underside of the crossbar.
The equaliser came in the 39th minute when a free-kick from Jason Wood created the opening for Kyle Tooze to score from close range.
However, Uxbridge dominated the second half and Ryan O'Toole netted the winner after 62 minutes.
He struck a shot from the edge of the penalty area and it proved too good for Mangotsfield goalkeeper Court.
