Hereford's League One clash with Brighton is off

Friday, February 06, 2009, 21:20

Hereford United's League One match against Brighton & Hove Albion scheduled for Edgar Street today has been postponed.

Heavy snowfall overnight left local referee Andy Williams with no option but to postpone the game to prevent Brighton travelling.

Meanwhile, Hereford's new goalkeeper Hungarian-born Peter Gulacsi will be flying out to Hungary tomorrow for an Under-20 international.

"It's not an ideal situation. We would have liked Peter to have stayed with us but he has settled in pretty well," said Hereford chief Graham Turner.

The 18-year-old goalkeeper, who is on loan from Liverpool until the end of the season, is expected to make his debut against Cheltenham Town next week.
