Hereford United sign Dennehy ahead of Southend visit
Dennehy has been on trial at Edgar Street and could be included in the Bulls squad to take on Southend United at Edgar Street this afternoon.
The 20-year-old joined Cardiff from Everton having progressed through the Premier League club's training scheme.
Following Tuesday's 3-0 defeat by Bristol Rovers, the Bulls are now eight points adrift of safety at the foot of the table and badly need a win over Southend if they are going to start climbing out of trouble.
They have lost their last three games against Yeovil Town, Crewe Alexandra and Bristol Rovers and a win over the Shrimps would do their confidence a power of good.
"The players know that they have to perform better than they did at Crewe and against Bristol Rovers" said Turner.
"What we have to do is lift their spirits and not kick them when they are down.
"The league has developed into a position where there looks to be eight teams who will fight it out to avoid relegation."
Coach John Trewick will also be looking to motivate the players before the kick-off against Southend.
"We've got two games in hand against most of our rivals but they are not points on the board" said Trewick.
Returning to the Hereford squad will be midfielder Sam Hewson after missing Tuesday's game due to suspension.
Striker Andy Williams may also be recalled if he has recovered from an ankle injury.
But central defender Josh Gowling is not expected to be considered for the game.
Gowling has been out of action with an ankle injury since being injured at Cheltenham three weeks ago. Southend, who beat Hereford 1-0 at Roots Hall earlier in the campaign, are being forced to field inexperienced goalkeeper Ian Joyce in place of the injured Steve Mildenhall.
The Shrimps will also have former Hereford striker Theo Robinson in their squad along with their leading marksman Lee Barnard.
Robinson topped Hereford's scoring last season with 16 goals in all competitions and will be a threat to the Bulls central defenders.
Hereford from: Gulacsi, Broadhurst, Diagourega, Taylor, Brandy, Guinan, Gwynne, Jackson, Antwi, Smith, Hewson, Done, Williams Dennehey, Rose, Johnson, Beckwith, D'agastino, Viega.
