Bristol school plays host to Estonia pop star Hannah
Hannah, real name Hanna Ild, has been a fixture in Estonia's music charts for 10 years and has released six albums.
She is also an ambassador for the capital city Tallinn which is the European City of Culture for 2011.
Now the 28-year-old is embarking on a UK schools tour and yesterday she came to Fairfield High, Allfoxton Road to teach students about the delights of her country.
Hannah also performed new single Shadow On The Wall written by Steve Booker, co-writer and producer of pop star Duffy's Mercy.
The school, which specialises in performing arts, has been holding weekly Friday afternoon gigs for nearly a year. Leah Marks, 27, performing art co-ordinator at the school, said: "The students get really into it and there is always lots of dancing and general jollity."
A range of artists, from DMC champion DJ Quest to the Bristol Brass Band, have performed at the sessions. Future artists include Ou Est La Swimming Pool who are currently supporting singer La Roux and the Glitzy Bag Hags, a member of which teaches at Fairfield.
