Five men charged following EDL march and anti-EDL protests
Five men from Bristol have been charged so far following Saturday's city centre marches and protests, police have confirmed this afternoon.
Avon and Somerset Police said a 47-year-old man has been charged with using threatening words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

A 41-year-old man has been charged with possession of a Class B drug (cannabis) and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with the intent to cause fear of or provoke violence.
A 48-year-old man has been charged with using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with the intent to cause fear of or provoke violence.
As well as the five people charged, police said two men were issued with cautions – one for failing to remove his face covering (in breach of Section 60) and one for a public order offence.
Two men aged 45 and 20 were issued with fixed penalty notices for being drunk and disorderly.
Four people remain on police bail while further enquiries are carried out, and three people were released without charge.
