Hellenic League: Almondsbury Town took a point at Ascot United despite playing with 10 men for an hour.

Nick Dunn was sent off after 30 minutes of the 1-1 draw in Berkshire.

Despite seeing his side drop five points from their last two Premier Division games, Almondsbury boss Richard Thompson is positive about his side's prospects.

He said: "We are seven points behind Reading Town, but we have three games in hand on them."

Almondsbury took a second-minute lead when Ross Stearn crossed for Dean Griffiths to score from close range.

Sahr Kabba missed a number of chances to make it 2-0, while Stearn wasted a good chance when he was put through with only the goalkeeper to beat.

Ascot's equaliser came early in the second half from a Rob Saunders free-kick.

In Division One West, struggling Winterbourne United eased their fears of relegation with a 7-0 hammering of bottom club Launton Sports, who have only taken one point from their 22 games.

Striker Jimmy Potts led the rout with four goals, while Neil Ward, Nick Walters and Sam Vile completed the scoring.

Tytherington Rocks took a third-minute lead at Clanfield with Pete Holbrook finding Marcus Taylor, whose cross created the opening for Danny Thorpe to score.

The Rocks made it 2-0 when a cross from Taylor was deflected into the net for an own goal.
