Lee takes two awards

Midfielder Lee Edwards was the choice of both manager Mike Pollard and his first-team colleagues as Brimsham Green's player of the year at the Premier Combination Club's presentation evening.

Striker Paul O'Connell was voted player of the year for the reserves for the second season in succession by manager Darius Peterson, with centre-back Dan Fry receiving the players' accolade. Andy Hallen won the young player award.

With Pollard standing down and Darius Peterson taking over the first team, the club need a new manager for the reserves, who play in Division V of the District League. Anybody interested should contact secretary Phil Martin on 01454 31335 or 07930 671000. New players are welcome to attend training sessions at Sunnyside Lane, Yate, on Tuesdays (7pm).
