We'll keep battling, says Chipping Sodbury Town boss
Chipping Sodbury Town manager Chris Gear is taking no chances over speculation that league chiefs will grant basement teams a relegation reprieve.
Town go into tomorrow's home clash with AXA in bottom place but Gear said: "No one knows for sure what the league will decide so we have to keep battling."
Gear can at least call upon the temporary services of some former Chipping Sodbury players for tomorrow's game. Mike England and Joe Mullins, who have finished their campaign with Tytherington Rocks, centre-half Ollie Clark, who is back from Brislington, and Winterbourne United hot-shot Jimmy Potts, have all offered a helping hand.
Hanham Athletic, who are just outside the drop zone, host Thornbury Town and boss Paul Hill-Dear warned: "As far as I'm concerned, two go down and we'll continue to operate on that basis."
Mid-table Thornbury, who have lost only one of their last six games, have Ashley Todd and Jack Warren back from lengthy injury lay-offs.
Carmelo Micciche, whose B&W Avonside outfit host Highridge, says he is "delighted" with his team's recent efforts, which included a stunning 2-0 success at Ellwood last Saturday.
Henbury go to Berkeley Town looking to end a run of four successive defeats while Patchway Town entertain King's Stanley.
