We let ourselves down, admits Bath's Maddock
Joe Maddock felt Bath's players let themselves down during their 20-20 draw with London Irish – and says it is up to them alone to put right the failings which threaten to damage their season.
Three-try Bath led 17-0 at half-time against their fellow Guinness Premiership title-chasers, only to make a raft of second-half mistakes and end up having to settle for two points.

Their second-half collapse followed matches at Toulouse and Leicester earlier in the season where Bath had led only to suffer late heartbreak.
"It's so disappointing, because we know we are good enough to play that way for 80 minutes – it just doesn't seem to be happening at the moment," said winger Maddock, who scored one of Bath's three tries on Saturday.
"I don't think the coaches have to do anything differently, but from the players' point of view, we need to look inside ourselves individually and try to sort it out.
"Three extra points would have been nice – and at 17-0 up at half-time, we should have finished that game with a bonus point and had it won with 20 minutes to go.
"But we really let ourselves down and missed a great opportunity to get a five-pointer against one of the teams in the top four."
Stuart Hooper and Matt Banahan also crossed during the first half, only for Adam Thompstone, Seilala Mapusua and Topsy Ojo to go over for the visitors after the break.
"In the first half, we played some of the best rugby we've played all season," said Maddock.
"To go in 17-0 up at half-time, the boys were pretty happy and we had controlled the ball well, controlled territory well and hadn't made too many mistakes.
"But this seems to be a little trend we have got into, where we play at a pace no one can keep up with for half the game, then in the second half we come out and mistakes start happening."
Captain Michael Lipman missed Saturday's match after failing to recover from a head injury he suffered four weeks earlier against Toulouse. But head coach Steve Meehan expects him to return at Gloucester this weekend.
Meehan has doubts over prop David Flatman and hooker Pieter Dixon, who both left the field on Saturday.
