The learning curve continues for boxer Robins
Martin Robins is set to continue on his learning curve when he tops the bill on Jane Couch's latest Marriott Hotel boxing promotion in Bristol's city centre on Sunday.
Formerly an amateur with Downend ABC, the 26-year-old light middleweight has won all four fights since signing professional forms for Compton Greenfield-based manager and trainer Tex Woodward eight months ago.

And his latest assignment will see him step up in class when he tackles Birmingham's Matt Seawright over six three minute rounds in front of an anticipated sell-out crowd.
Although Robins is nearly five years older than Spaniorum Farm gym stablemate Danny Butler, the British Masters middleweight champion, he is being guided along a similar route.
Bristolian Butler joined the paid ranks as a teenager and learned his trade on small hall shows up and down the country before coming to prominence in last year's Sky-televised Prizefighter middleweight series.
Scheduled to box on a Ricky Hatton promotion in November, Butler is being manoeuvred into a position where he can challenge for the British title in the next year or two.
In contrast, it is still early days for Robins, who holds down a day-time job and trains in his spare time.
"His position is similar to Danny's when he first started," explained show promoter and former five-times womens' World champion Couch.
"Martin is learning his trade and gaining in experience all the time. He's only been a pro for a short time, but he's taken to it really well and is building up a decent record.
"We want to keep him busy, keep building his record and generally take him down the same route as Danny Butler.
"This is his first chance to be the main event in Bristol and boxing Seawright will be another stepping stone."
New signing Ben Wakeham, from Torquay, boxes under the Blackeye Promotions banner for the first time when he meets Craig Dyer in a welterweight contest scheduled for six two-minute rounds, while popular Chris Sanigar-managed middleweight Rocky Chakir meets experienced campaigner Tony Randall over four threes.
Trowbridge-based prospect Nick Blackwell and journeyman middleweight Chris Brophy complete the undercard on the Sounds Commercial-sponsored show.
Dinner tables have already sold out, but tickets for boxing only can still be purchased for £20 by calling 07540 364766.
