REGIONAL SUNDAY LEAGUE: Downend were the weekend's big winners in the Premier Division, thrashing Sportsmans 8-0.

Alex May led the way with four goals, with Jordan Yeo, Chris Johnson, Lee Smart and Chris King also on target.

Sporting Bristol started well, beating visitors Lebeq 6-1 with Ashley Hudd scoring a hat-trick and Tom Dailey netting twice. Chris Douglas replied for Lebeq.

Stapleton Sunday also made a winning start with Kai Batt scoring twice in their 3-0 home victory against All Saints.

Sean Breedy, Graham Cappi, Paul Brockway, Lee Bremner and Mike Usher fired Quayside to a 5-2 win at Fishponds Town in Division I.

Real Bristol saw off BAWA Athletic 4-1 with Shane Douglas scoring twice for the home side.

Three Lions Vets went down 9-7 at home to Hemplow Rangers in a remarkable game in Division III, despite four goals from Sean Donnelly.

Rich Duffy helped himself to a hat-trick as Littlesea won 6-1 at Blackhorse Boys. Matt Wilson, Adam Clark and Andy Morris completed the rout.

CK FC started their season in fine form with a 5-0 away win at Bristol Athletic Social.

Sporting Bristol Reserves were the league's biggest winners of the weekend as they demolished visitors BAWA Athletico Reserves12-2.

Nick Brumpton scored five times while strike partner Jay Belton chipped in with four goals. BAWA's scorers were Dan Ogden and Kaz Ogunbiyi.

A Jake Hynam hat-trick helped Sartan FC to a 8-2 away win at St Bernadettes.
