Lawrence Rovers stayed on course for promotion from the Senior Division with an impressive 5-1 home win against Wick Reserves.

Dray Fray gave them an early lead but the Wick defence was not breached again until midway through the second half when heavy pressure produced further goals from Daniel Harris (2), Kye Holmes and Denny Chapman.

Jason Johnson netted a consolation for Wick, whose manager Paul Bond admitted that the visitors had been beaten by a better team.

Goals from Andrew Hamilton-Dunn and Karim Rendall gave previous leaders Coalpit Heath a 2-1 home win against Hartcliffe CC, but Hallen A dropped down to third following a surprise defeat by the same score against Crosscourt United.

A penalty miss by Ian Matthews proved costly for Hallen, who trailed to goals from Rob Lucas and Martin Cole, before replying through Keiron Greening, whose father Ike, the team's manager, was disappointed with the result. "We had most of the game but missed too many chances," he said.

Dan Zabek cancelled out Lee Volero's strike for Hanham Athletic Reserves to earn a point for Nicholas Wanderers Reserves, while Chipping Sodbury Town enjoyed a comfortable 4-2 home win against Shirehampton Reserves.

In Division I, Knowle United squandered a 4-1 lead to draw 4-4 at SBC Reserves.

Two goals from Jason Buck, an Ian Davis strike and Jeff O'Toole's effort put Knowle in charge but Matt Dean (2), Wayne Griddle and Jack Coombes sealed a dramatic turnaround.

Fry's Club A beat Iron Acton Reserves 4-2 thanks to first-half goals from Charlie Morgan (2), Keiron Rees and Steve Curtis. Luke Haddow and John Vear replied for Iron Acton after the break to set up a tense finale but Fry's held on.

Brislington Cricketers beat AEK Boco Reserves 2-0 with goals from Joe Westcott and Steve Kemp and they were also indebted to keeper Matt Shepherd, who pulled off a fantastic save in the first half .

Four players were sent off in a stormy match between St Phillips MAS Reserves and Talbot Knowle Reserves. Saints won 4-3 despite having three men dismissed, while Talbot were reduced to 10 men.

Luke Green (2), Rayon Wilson and Justin Daniels netted for the victors, while Talbot Knowle replied with two Nick Fox penalties and a Mitchell Purcell strike.
