Billions of years ago, life began in the sea.
And now, from the tiniest goldfish to the gigantic blue whale, our watery world is full of fascinating creatures.

Tomorrow you can learn all about these animals when you pick up the fifth book in the Disney Wonderful World of Knowledge series, which aims to entertain and educate youngsters.
Cut out the coupon in tomorrow's paper, pop along to your nearest participating retailer and for just £2.99 you can delve into the depths of the ocean in Wonders of the Sea.
We asked Bristol Rovers footballer Danny Coles what he thought of the book. He said: "It's a great book for kids, full of facts and interesting information. It's very important that children get into reading from a young age."
This book will guide you on a journey from plankton to sawfish to sharks.
Here is a taster of some of the information your children will be chatting about tomorrow evening.
Clownfish (as seen in the film Finding Nemo) hide from enemies among the poisonous tentacles of sea anemones. The fish do not get stung because they are covered in special slime.
There are at least 14,000 kinds of fish and 160,000 types of invertebrates in the sea, which include creatures like crabs, mussels and sea stars.
Some kinds of dinoflagellates, which are tiny plant plankton, give off light. If a boat disturbs the surface of the sea at night, the dinoflagellates glow and sparkle in the dark.
Sea sponges draw in water through tiny holes like a sieve. They draw in water, eat scraps of food and push the water out again.

“If this is Disney, check the facts. I grew up watching their 'True Life Adventures' on TV. They started the misconception that lemmings commit sudden mass suicide by jumping of cliffs (they don't) by film crews pushing them over the edge!.”
