All the help you need to get online in Bristol
Beginners will receive basic computer and internet training including online support.
More advanced training will include Facebook sessions to help people keep in touch with family, friends and other learners, as well as e-democracy sessions on how to influence decision-making in the city, from e-petitions to online debating.
The oldest person to have a go will receive a free computer to take home and free personalised training for them and up to five friends.
Those who already have a computer and wish to learn more and share their experience could win a free computer service and training on their choice of subject.
This prize will be awarded for the best story on the subject "How the internet changed my life".
People will also have the opportunity to sign up for free computer sessions every Wednesday as part of the South Bristol Digital Neighbourhoods programme.
SBDN also has a mobile laptop kit, so if groups or clubs would like to have a workshop in their venue they can call the centre.
For more information on Get Online Day or the computer sessions and kit contact Knowle West Media Centre on 01179 030444 and ask for Makala, Martin or Dylan.
