Lee Trundle's return from his loan spell at Leeds could not prevent Bristol City reserves slipping to a 2-0 defeat to Plymouth at Home Park.

The talented striker made his first appearance back in the red and white of the Robins' in the Totesport.com Combination fixture yesterday.

But the reigning Wales & West Division champions suffered a third successive defeat and the loss of Jordan Walker to a knee injury.

Trundle and Plummer both tested Pilgrims' keeper Lloyd Saxon but were unable to find the net while a goal either side of half time from Jermaine Easter then Luke Summerfield sealed the win for Plymouth.

Bristol City: Henderson, Walker (Hennessey 10), J Wilson, Iriekpen (Stanbolsiev 80), Edwards; Plummer, Artus, Kington, Myrie-Williams; Trundle, Styvar (Jackson 65). Sub not used: Bradley.
