All those involved deserve praise
I HAVE written to the Post many times to acknowledge excellent coverage of various issues especially in relation to floral displays within the city.
I was deeply saddened to see such dismal coverage given to the enormous achievement of a prestigious gold award to the City in the European Entente Florale. One could be forgiven for missing news of the award for it was tucked away on page 23 in a corner of the Deaths and Bereavement page.

Sponsors, both business and private for providing financial support, deserve more than a few lines. Also worthy of more than a few passing comments are the City Parks Department especially nursery staff at Blaise Castle, community groups, and many other hard work volunteers who produced stunning floral displays that impressed judges on their visit last month.
If the Post produces a feature on this fantastic prize my confidence in the Post will have been restored.
