The event is part of a national initiative that aims to get the community together once a year for a big party so they can get to know each other over a shared meal.
It is estimated that on Sunday three- quarters of a million people will sit down to lunch together across the UK.
PCSO Chye Lim, who is an ex-chef, and two of his PCSO colleagues will be putting their culinary skills to good use as they prepare Chinese Vegetarian Noodles for all the guests in St Paul's Park.
Sergeant Mark Aston said: "St Paul's is a very diverse community with residents from many different cultures and religions. The Big Lunch is an opportunity for people in this area to get together, learn about each other's cultures and get to know each other better.
"We wanted to get involved with this Big Lunch to show our support to the people of St Paul's and we have provided staff and funding to make sure that the day is a real success. The day is a great opportunity to create stronger more cohesive communities which is something that the police fully support."
Police have provided funding for ingredients for PCSO Lim and colleagues to cook with and for the hire of outdoor cooking facilities and gazebos.
Anyone wishing to attend should go down to the park between noon and 2pm on Sunday.
