Bristol Pitbulls ease into cup semi-finals

Bristol Pitbulls demolished league leaders Solent and Gosport 11-1 to book a place in the semi-finals of the ENHL Cup.

Bristol soon showed their intentions of winning silverware this year when Mike Smith opened the scoring with just a minute gone in the first period.

Adrian Esposito got his first of the night six minutes later, followed quickly by a goal from Sammy Hayman.

The Pitbulls went into the break with a 3- 0 lead and scored three more times in the second period through Esposito, Hayman and player-coach Rich Hargreaves.

The Pitbulls added five more goals from Hargreaves (2), Esposito, Hayman and Joe Lock.

Hargreaves said: "I was really happy with the team's performance. We did the little things right and showed our class."
