“ Lovely spacious garden, but not much else for which to recommend Channings in my opinion, other than the free wi-fi. ”

“My sister stayed here and arrived to find no travel cot, despite one being requested when booking. She then discovered the TV and Wi-Fi in her room didn't work, and when no one could fix them, she still wasn't offered a refund. The headboard kept falling off the wall onto her bed and the mattress was sunken. Barely and apology and no refund offered. Disgraceful service, would never recommend anyone stay here.”

“Considering it isn't a massive place, Channings has a truly awesome beer garden with dozens of tables which catch the evening sun beautifully.
Inside the bar isn't huge, but it is sufficiently spacious without being too cosy or cramped. Though there is a much larger room downstairs that is good for sports viewing and pub quizzing!”

“Channings is great most of the year but particularly in the summer for its large garden. The old hotel with a bar on ground level and function room below has been drawing a good local crowd of regulars for a while now. Likes its sport, particularly rugby, which may not be to everybody's taste, but has a great atmosphere and is a perfect summer bar, especially with its late licence.”
