Revealed: Glastonbury Festival line-up
The Pyramid Stage headliners Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen and Blur have already been announced, but now the rest of the weekend’s performers have been confirmed.
Headlining the Other Stage at Michael Eavis’s Worthy Farm, in Pilton, will be Bloc Party, Franz Ferdinand and Prodigy.
The Doves, ex-Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker and Echo and The Bunnymen will be drawing crowds to the John Peel Stage.
This year’s festival includes many icons from the last 40 years.
Former Kinks frontman Ray Davies is set to headline the Acoustic Stage on Friday, while folk-rock supergroup Crosby, Stills & Nash will perform on the Pyramid stage, ahead of their former band member Neil Young who is headlining Friday night.
Status Quo, Spinal Tap, Tom Jones, Madness and The Specials will also be performing.
The younger generation will be looking to the likes of Lily Allen, the Ting Tings and Lady GaGa to wow the crowds.
Other big names in a diverse line-up for 2009, include Pete Doherty, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Fleet Foxes, Black Eye Peas, Glasvegas and hotly tipped up and comers Florence and the Machine.
