COTSWOLD Homes has sold all but one of the properties it has recently built in Clevedon. The first owners have moved into the Coastline development just three months after a furnished show house was opened to promote the 14 new homes. Of the three-bed town houses, three-bed semis and two-bed apartments, just one apartment remains for sale at £149,999, including carpets and integrated kitchen appliances, and the developer may even help with the cost of stamp duty. Enthusiasm for the stone-fronted and red brick development, designed to complement the area's existing Victorian architecture, is underlined by selling agent Steven Smith and his wife and business partner Alison's decision to invest in one of the properties, which they will let.

Most of the others here have been acquired by owner-occupiers but, for an investor, the strength of the letting market means a rental return around five per cent is achievable in this location, reports Steve.

Cotswold Homes is expected to soon release details of two more developments in Clevedon. Keep an eye on the website, www.cotswoldhomes.co.uk
