Headteacher to share Bristol school's blueprint at national conference

Brislington Enterprise College headteacher John Matthews will share his experiences of the school's £30 million rebuild at a high-profile national conference.

The event in London next week will be hosted by BBC Newsnight presenter Emily Maitlis and will also feature a speech by Sir Steve Redgrave.

The school was one of several in the city rebuilt under the Government's Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme.

The conference is organised by Partnerships for Schools, the agency carrying out BSF for the Government.

Chief executive Tim Byles said: "It is important that we share latest developments, information about what works well and what lessons we have learned so far with schools, local authorities and the private sector on a regular basis."
