School closed after heating packs up

Tuesday, December 02, 2008, 10:02

Children at Henleaze Junior School have been told to stay home today because the school has no heating.

The problem arose following building work at the weekend to install a disabled access lift in the foyer of the school in Park Grove.

The heating system had to be drained to move a radiator and a leak was discovered.

The school had been closed to the 375 pupils yesterday for a training day but head teacher Adam Barber had to keep it shut for an extra day until heat was restored.
