Lee lured back by Hengrove
Hengrove Athletic have prised Lee Patch out of retirement as they bid to make their Somerset Senior Cup swansong a successful one.
The in-form Toolstation First Division team wlll be elevated to the county's Premier Cup next term after erecting floodlights at their Norton Lane HQ.
Manager Jamie Hillman wants his team to bow out of the tournament in style, starting with tomorrow's opener at home to Winscombe.
And he is hopeful that 30-year-old Patch, who took a two-year break from the game, can add a new dimension to their drive for honours.
He explained: "I've known Lee for a long time; he's been around the Western League scene with Brislington, Backwell and Hallen, and his brother Craig is my assistant.
"He needs to get himself up to speed but, when he does, he will be a useful addition."
Chris Adamson is adamant daylight exists at the end of a dark tunnel for his Nailsea United team as they bid to get their cup campaign off to a flier at Churchill.
