Griffiths and Stearn bolster Almondsbury Town's attack
Richard Thompson's Almondsbury Town overhaul has intensified with two new signings and a departure.
The new Oaklands Park manager has signed centre-forward Dean Griffiths from Tiverton Town, while former Bristol City Academy and Forest Green Rovers wide man Ross Stearn has been recruited to pep up his attacking options.
Thompson has, however, lost the services of striker Adam Cole, who is expected to move up to Western League football.
The Almondsbury boss knows all about his latest additions. Griffiths, who is unavailable for tomorrow's trip to Bicester Town because of a hand injury, featured regularly up front for him during their latter days at Yate Town together, while Ross' father Nigel Stearn is another one-time Lodge Road favourite.
Thompson said of the duo: "They're great acquisitions. People have said Dean's attitude is not all it could be at times but he has always been fine for me.
"He's strong with good pace and gets goals, while Ross is only 19 and looking for a good platform to get his career off the ground."
