Bristol golfers raise money for St Peter's Hospice

Golfers at Airbus have presented a £17,000 donation to St Peter's Hospice.

The money, raised through a golf day, was the biggest contribution to the city's only adult hospice this year. Fund raisers visited the Brentry hospice, which cares for people with terminal illnesses, to hand over the donation.

Suppliers and employees of Airbus and GKN held their annual sports event at Kendleshire Golf Club earlier this year.

Jodie Shields, organiser of the event and an Airbus employee, said: "We have been running these events for six years now, and the determination and enjoyment that all teams get from raising money for such worthy charities is amazing."
