Hanham Minor League Under-10s: Bristol Rovers JFC Under-10s maintained their 100 per cent winning record in Division A but were made to fight hard for their 4-1 victory against a strong Bristol City JFC side.

Both sides produced strong defensive performances in the windy conditions and were only separated in the first game by an excellent strike from Rovers' Nathan Hewitt in the 22nd minute.

The second game saw Rovers score three times in a six-minute period towards the end of the second half through Danny Ball, Aaron Mansfield and Ricky Kirby. City kept battling away and managed to pull a goal back in the last minute.

Brislington were made to work hard to earn an 3-3 draw from their top-section clash with Warmley Rangers.

They were reliant on keeper Milo Ayres, who was in superb form, for keeping them in the first game as an attack-minded Warmley team flew into a 2-0 lead through Nathan Wilkes' unstoppable shot and Mason Lewis' cool finish, after good work by Callum Birkinshaw.

Brislington kept going and, from one of their rare forays upfield, Jake Pullinger pulled one back with a searing long-range strike.

Warmley, with Henry Sharman and Owen Comley performing well at the back, increased their overall advantage by taking the lead in the second game through Jack Baker. And with Rangers goalkeeper Chris Archer in fantastic form, keeping Samuel Crumb at bay with some fine stops, Brislington's chances looked slim.

That was until Crumb managed to get behind a defender and finish with precision, before the same marksman saw another effort parried into the path of goal poacher Lewis Osman to slot in Brislington's equaliser.

Bitton produced a super team performance to overcome Stoke Lane 6-0 in the same division.

Bitton began strongly and snatched an early lead through Louis Gordon opener. They continued to press and were rewarded with two more goals in the second half from George Neill and Alex Begbie-Dilks to wrap up a 3-0 victory.

Max Buxton put Bitton in front in game two and further goals from Billy Saunders and Buxton completed another 3-0 success.

Ashton Boys finally put some points on the board and hoisted themselves off the foot of Division B with a thrilling 6-5 aggregate victory over Highridge.

Ashton trailed 2-0 in game one but a rousing fightback, headed by hat-trick hero Callum Leonard, saw them take a 3-2 lead. Ciaran Hogg added a well-taken fourth and an own goal handedAshton a 5-3 win.

Ashton fell behind again in game two but soon drew level through Sam Rodgerson. Highridge regained the lead direct from a corner and, although they continued to push for an equaliser, Ashton held firm, thanks to new keeper Tommy Shipway and solid defensive displays from Sam Joyner and the ever-reliable Josh Keen.

Downend Saints lost for the first time this season, going down 5-3 to Avon Athletic.

Saints went behind early on before Ben Wheaton's thumping header from Luke Patel's corner brought them an equaliser.

Poor defending gave Avon the chance to increase their lead just before half-time and they extended their advantage early in the second half.

Saints got back into the game when James Carling followed in to score after Jack Brice's penalty had been brilliantly saved.

Trailing 4-2, Saints quickly fell behind in game two but battled back and the Avon keeper had to turn away powerful efforts from Will Jones and Santana Schooler.

Saints were caught on the break as Avon doubled their lead. Downend pressure was rewearded when Max Wright volleyed home Max Wookey's corner to cut the overall deficit to 5-3 but it was too little too late.

Under-strength Longwell Green, with only 13 players available, turned in an outstanding display to beat Thornbury Falcons 8-2 in Division C.

Tom Frankcom's long-range effort and a Joe Harding strike gave them a 2-0 lead in game one, but Thornbury struck back twice to level and it took two outstanding saves from Longwell keeper Jamie Griffin to prevent them scoring a winner.

Game two was dominated by six-man Longwell, whose keeper Tom Chabowski made two fine early saves before his side took over. George White and Matt Pope were outstanding at the back and Sam Williams was excellent on the right.

Superb hat-tricks from Dan Chivers and Tomas Stanislovaitis saw Longwell to an emphatic 6-0 win.

A tough game against unbeaten Bristol Spartak saw Bradley Stoke United A emerge narrow 4-3 victors in the same division.

Strikes from Sam Cottle and Kieran Clayton gave Bradley Stoke a 2-1 lead to take into the second game, which ended 2-2.

Luis Hares and Adam Woolley grabbed the Bradley Stoke goals and both players had efforts disallowed as their team pushed hard for a winner.

Whitchurch Sports proved too strong for a weakened AEK Boco side, winning 13-2.

A fine hat-trick for Chesney Blackett, who then turned provider, cutting the ball back from the by-line for the onrushing Billy Rice-Hanlon to net, set them up for a 4-2 first-game victory.

The second game ended 9-0, with Jay Selway (3), Jack Mattock (2), Zac Mainstone (2), Jamie Hicks and George James netting for Whitchurch.

In Division D, Longwell Green B fought back from a 2-1 first-game defeat to earn a 2-2 aggregate draw against Yate Rangers.

Caleb Goode and James Ireland defended well for Longwell in game one but Yate went 2-0 up and only a good save from Archie Rawlings to prevent them increasing their advantage, a save which proved important as Tyler Vidaurri pulled one back before the end.

Longwell enjoyed the better of game two, with Josh Ford and Lewis Czugalinski using their pace to good effect and Liam Harperstrong at the back.

Cameron Mills came close to giving Longwell the lead and their persistence finally paid off with an Algirdas Urbonas strike to give them a deserved
