“well there not so clever now, prison isn,t as easy as people think, but hanging is the easy way out, they will be broken men when they get out, no man should go through what that victim went through but im sure they will appeal and the system will let us down again, so i wont hold my breath. no tv,s or playstation can make up for losing your liberty, it breaks you down and eats you away being away from the people you love.i know that.”

“Whatever the sentence, it was never going to be enough, 2 sons and a daughter have lost their father, a mother has lost her son, nothing can make up for that. Hanging would be too quick and years in prison too easy for murdering scum like this. Take those 16 -18 years and fill them with torture and degradation and that might just about do.”

“I know it cost to lock people up, but finally it is worth every penny, hail the justice system.
There are too many people like them who take, do what they do and too many people live in fear, it's not right. A lesson has been taught now, yeah the biggest one would be to hang them, but right now, they are locked up for a long time. The tears they so say shed in court will never ever make up for what they did, either of them. They set out to hurt that man in a way he'd never forget, they took his life and they knew they were doing just that when they attacked him...”

“It costs about £50,000 a year to keep someone in prison. If this family serve the full combined 80 years, then they will cost the tax payer £4M.
Lets hang them from a lamppost, and use that money for something useful instead.”

“Interesting how people comment on higher than usual sentences. So that probably means appeals against "excessive" sentences.
Wait and see:(”

“P. They have forfeited their liberty - I am not bothered that they may have tv's and games consoles - no matter what luxeries they have, they are still locked up every day and night. Also I think the prosecution witnesses showed a lot of guts in giving evidence - so well done to them.”
