Saturday Youth League round-up:

Shirehampton A kept up their impressive start to the Saturday Youth League season with a convincing 7-2 Under-11 Division A Cup win over Ingleside A.

Leading 3-0 at half-time thanks to goals from George Nichols (2) and Gabriel Vickerman, Shire struck four more in the second half through another Nichols double and one each from Matthew Dillistone and Alex Buczek.

Ingleside's goals came from Tyrese Kefense and Mahad Mohammed.

In the same competition, a goal in each half gave Sefton Park a 2-0 victory over Clifton United in a closely-fought game.

Coalpit Heath nearly pulled off the comeback of the season in their Division B cup game. Trailing 4-0 to AEK Boco at half-time, they narrowed the deficit to 4-3 in the second half but couldn't find the equaliser. Scorers for Heath were Eddie Mitchell, George Long and Will Jones.

Salvation Army beat Southmead 4-0 in the other B Division tie.

The Under-9s season got underway on Saturday with two one-sided matches. Ingleside went down 11-1 away to Shire, with Rhys Morgan scoring their consolation goal, while Bristol Brazilians beat Downend Saints 7-0.
