League leaders DRG Stapleton suffer defeat at Hanham

Hanham Athletic recorded a convincing 2-0 victory over Gloucestershire County League leaders DRG Stapleton. Jay Owen and Nathan Bryer scored first-half goals to give Athletic victory.

King's Stanley maintained their 100 per cent record and moved into second place with a 2-0 victory over Thornbury Town. Tony Francis netted from the spot before Eoin Skowskizuej sealed the points.

The only away win of the day came at Henbury, where Tuffley Rovers triumphed 2-1. Rovers took the lead through Mark Wallington, but Henbury levelled within a minute when Eddie Howells scored. Victor Webb's free-kick shortly before half-time proved to be the winner.

Axa continued their steady climb up the table with a 2-1 victory over bottom club Taverners. Jay Redbond gave Tavs the lead, but second-half goals from Steve Watts and Andy Sledge turned things around.

Brimscombe & Thrupp and Rockleaze Avonside drew 1-1. Aaron Day gave the visitors the lead before Dean James had a penalty saved by Brimscombe goalkeeper Adam Thomas. Jamie Martin's late goal earned the Stroud side a point.

Chipping Sodbury Town and Berkeley Town also drew 1-1. Mike Reece put Berkeley in front before Danny Coombes equalised late on.

Justin Cattle's double gave Yate Town Reserves a 2-0 victory over Patchway Town.
