I am furious at Hooray Henrys
AM I the only person feeling miffed about the country being run by a clique of privileged out-of-touch toffs and Hooray Henrys, most of whom have never held an average income job before entering politics? Being an MP for them is an opportunity to be a member of one of the best clubs in the world.
Call Me Dave won't come clean on future means-testing on bus passes, winter fuel allowances and prescription charges for pensioners, but I don't trust him or his party on anything. But one thing for sure Dave, start means-testing middle and average income pensioners, while handing over millions of our taxes in aid to corrupt foreign governments where the really poor and desperate never get a look in or continue paying family allowance for children not even living in the UK to comply with daft EU rules made by unelected foreign powers, yet at the same time cutting child benefits for British families, and many of your Westminster toadies will be toast at the next general election.
People are angry about your warped sense of priorities and feel they are being taken for mugs, by slick smoke and mirrors political chancers.

“Democracy is the second worst form of government. It's a lousy system, but we're stuck with it.”

“ah, if only. if only politicians could be held responsible for their actions( inactions) then we would get sensible people doing the job properly. at one time rich useless toffs became clerics or mayors, a job which you could not really mess up, but now this useless bunch of loonies are taking politics in the universities, aided by daddies money, then getting into politics, again with daddy or mummies money and connections. losers are the electorate who have become so dissalusioned they no longer vote because it seems each party is run by the same toffs under different names”

“It has ever been thus. If you are seeking to lay blame, look for the 40% of the electorate who couldn't be bothered to vote rather than those who have stepped forward into public survice.”
