We have to focus, says Gloucestershire's Franklin
James Franklin is adamant Gloucestershire must not be distracted by the bigger picture as the race for promotion to the LV County Championship first division enters its final straight.
With two games to play, the New Zealand Test star and his Gloucestershire CCC team-mates are involved in a five-way fight for the runners-up spot in Division Two.

But the Kiwi insisted it is essential Gloucestershire concentrate on winning their remaining games against Glamorgan and Kent rather than worrying about the outcome of matches elsewhere.
"We're still in with a chance, but only if we keep our own house in order," warned Franklin, who is expected to spearhead Gloucestershire's seam attack against Glamorgan in Cardiff today.
"It looks like a bit of a long-shot for us and we're in a position where we need other results to go our way.
"But there's no mileage in looking at what our rivals are doing. The only way we will go up is by winning our last two games and letting results elsewhere take care of themselves.
"We can only control what we do on the field and that's what we have to focus on."
Victory over Glamorgan at the Swalec Stadium over the next four days will keep Gloucestershire in the hunt going into the final round of games. They complete their programme at home to Kent in a match which starts on September 23.
Long-time leaders Kent remain favourites to win Division Two, leaving Northants, Derbyshire, Essex, Glamorgan and Gloucestershire to fight it out for the runners-up spot.
Gloucestershire's four-day attack will be bolstered by the return of Jon Lewis, who has recovered from the stiff back which ruled him out of the last game against Surrey, while leading wicket-taker Steve Kirby and opening batsman Kadeer Ali are also set to return along with Vikram Banerjee.
Rob Woodman has been left out of the 13, but there is a place in the squad for Academy player Chris Dent, who will probably end up with a watching brief, along with Anthony Ireland.
