Georgette Van Hoof, runbristol's race director, said: "Taking part in a runbristol event is a great New Year's resolution for 2013. Many people were inspired to be more active by the London Olympics but don't know where to start.

"By registering for the Bristol 10K or opting for exclusive early registration through the official race charities in the Bristol Half Marathon, first time runners can be assured of a real challenge - with an achievable goal.

"By starting off with simply walking and jogging it is easy to progress to running and building up speed and stamina.

"And by registering with one of our official race charities, runners will also be helping to raise thousands of pounds."

The race is supported by the Clarke Willmott Business Challenge, which sees business, companies and organisations across the region entering competing teams, to find out more visit: http://runbristol.com/10K/96/2013-Clarke-Willmott-Business-Challenge.aspx

The 2013 Bristol Half Marathon takes place on Sunday, September 15. The 2013 Bristol 10k takes place on Sunday, May 5 and online entries are now open.
